Peter is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of JRJ Group, and brings approximately 30 years of financial services industry and transactional experience to JRJ Group. A tax, regulatory policy and capital structure expert, he is closely involved in the development of financial control structures and processes at portfolio companies, regulatory and tax strategy, as well as compliance issues.
Peter has had a broad career background spanning fields of corporate finance, tax, accounting, mergers and acquisitions structuring and relationship banking. Prior to joining JRJ Group in November 2008, he was employed by Lehman Brothers for more than 7 years, as Head of Principal Investing in the Insurance Advisory Group (2007 – 2008) and as Global Head of the Strategic Transactions Group (2004 – 2007). Peter joined Lehman Brothers in 2001 as the European Head of the Financial Engineering Group, a position he held until 2004. Prior to Lehman Brothers, he held various positions at Rabobank and JP Morgan, focussing on structured transactions, primarily within the financial services sector.
Peter holds BA and MA degrees in History and Law from Cambridge University. He serves as Non-Executive chair of Optimum Finance and a director to several other portfolio companies.
